My experience on Tues. Aug. 2, 2005 - riding down I-75

listening to a radio station out of Manchester in Clay County -

Some form of talk show/call in show - "open line Friday every

day apparently - Swap and Shop out of Somerset - a woman

called in and wanted to read Acts 12:1-11 which she did and

the station was very respectful and patient.

God's chosen

God reveals

God dwells

vs. 28-35

v. 34 - Nebuchadnezzar saw an image possessing none

of the attributes of his national gods and he is

filled with wonder and awe.

v. 35 - the image was so smitten that it came crashing

to the earth - the various parts of the image, as

they fell in a heap, became broken, yea became

as dust and chaff on the summer's threshing floor

            - (a la - Twin Towers)

Chaff is a favorite symbol in the Bible for lightness and

worthlessness.

Hosea speaks of Ephraim in ch. 13:1,3

"and the wind carried them away, that no place was found

for them:  and the stone that smote the image became a

great mountain, and filled the whole earth"

v. 37 - "a king of kings" - not "the King of Kings"

            Rev. 19:11-16

v. 41 - "iron mixed with clay" - part clay, part iron

v. 42 - partly strong, partly broken/brittle

                                    ch. 3

Notice the secular power requirements -

v. 2

v. 6

v. 7

v. 12 - ch. 2:49

v. 15 - another chance

"who is that God that shall deliver you out of my

hands?"

vs. 17-18 - their answer

vs. 19-20 - where secularism is going - never miss

            an opportunity to compare fundamental

            Christianity with fundamental Islam.
