No evangelist describes the resurrection -

no one present - like The Creation - Job 38:4-7

                                                            Isaiah 45:18-19

 

            The Lord appeared only to His own - to

individuals, to two, to eleven,  to above 500 at once!

v. 3 - Open & Empty Tomb - For us all someday -

            Job 19:25-27

 

v. 4 - Much perplexed - Last week's lesson - One

            example - "Who is going to roll away the stone?"

            GOD HAS ALREADY TOOK CARE OF IT!

 

We get in trouble speculating!  We imagine difficulties

which God has already solved!  "Sufficient unto the day

is the evil thereof"

 

The Women - They who truly love the Lord Christ will

find ample opportunities to prove their affection.

 

Two representatives of legions - Matt. 26:53 - 12

legions of angels at Christ's disposal!  II Kings 6:15-17

 

 

 

 "Cold discrepancy mongers, do you not see

that the evangelists do not count the angels?  There were

not only two angels, there were millions.  They appeared

not always one & the same, not always the same two,

sometimes this one appeared, sometimes that; sometimes

on this place, sometimes that; sometimes alone, sometimes

in company; sometimes they said this, sometimes that!

 

v. 5 - Too good to be true?  Paul to Agrippa - "Why

should it be thought a thing incredible with you that

God should raise the dead?"  Acts 26:8

 

That faith & hope might be in God - Christ died

for the sins of the world & lives for the world's

eternal life.

 

vs. 6-7 - Don't forget the appointed place.

 

v. 11 - idle tales to the disciples but not to the

            secularists.

v. 26 - Crucifixion + death = Glory

 

            Suffering - a necessity and will of God for

            Christ - a key to some of the darkest problems
