This was said with the idea of courting their favor as in:

            the hearts of the simple”

A favorite device of this class of deceivers to win the ear

of their unwary brethren.

Of the people of Galatia, Smith’s Bible Dictionary says:

The people have always been described as

“susceptible of quick impressions & sudden

changes with a fickleness equal to their courage

& enthusiasm, and a constant liability to that

disunion which is the fruit of excessive vanity”.

“Yea, they would exclude you” - shut you out.

I John 3:12 - Cain slew his brother “Because his own

works were evil, and his brother’s righteous”.

Ps. 34:21 - “Evil shall slay the wicked:  and they that

hate the righteous shall be desolate.”
